A family trip works when every generation finds its place. Children need things to happen. Grandparents need not to be rushed. Parents need an afternoon where they organise nothing at all. Our job is to make all three happen on the same trip.
There is no standard family itinerary
A family with a four-year-old does not travel like a family with two teenagers. We start from the ages, from the pace you can actually keep and from the days you have — then place the distances around that: fewer hours in the car at a stretch, more frequent stops, and the demanding things in the morning, when everyone is at their best.
For the children
A pottery workshop, fossil hunting in the desert, a Moroccan cooking class and the camel ride at sunset. Things they touch and do, rather than monuments they look at from the outside.
For the adults
Hammam, the medina at your own pace, meals with no clock. Several of the hotels we work with have a kids' club and babysitting — the one at the Royal Mansour takes children aged 4 to 10. That is what turns an afternoon into an actual afternoon.
Where you sleep
Connecting rooms or family suites — the first thing we check when choosing a hotel. It can be combined with private nights in the desert, or a higher category in Marrakech.
And someone on the other end
A family coordinator reachable on WhatsApp for the whole trip. Not a switchboard number: the person who knows your itinerary, for when the youngest runs out of steam early or the plan has to move.
